Garden Flower VII

We have cucumber plants growing from an old barrel on a stump in the back. They’re the pickle variety:you have to pick them young or they’ll grow big and bitter. We started our first batch of pickles last week after accumulating quite a few of them, using a French recipie. We’ll see in a few months how they turn out.

In the mean time, it’s rained a lot around here, and still is, and I found a rain drop hanging for dear life onto one of the little extensions the plant uses to grab onto stuff. You can see a grown cucumber behind the drop and a baby one, all hairy, growing right behind the flower to the left.

Plus, if you zoom in, you can see the world in that drop.

I love nature!
