Reclining Buddha Wall at Bapuan Temple, Angkor, Cambodia, 2013.

While strolling amongst the magnificent temples of Angkor, Cambodia last year, we came upon a wall that I thought was caving out under its own weight and would surely soon  crumble to the ground.

But upon closer inspection, and to my amazement, the wall was actually designed curved as it was and was a sculpture/haut relief (I’m not sure what he technical term for such a thing even is) of a laying Buddha. It is much more obvious in the picture below. Amazing architectural feat in my eyes.
