Cathédrale Notre-Dame des Doms d’Avignon. Avigon. France. 2012.

IMG_0123

We were last in France for Christmas 2012, visiting la familia. We headed with my dad to Avignon, my birth city, for a tour of the Palais des Papes (Papal Palace) where popes lived for almost 100 years before heading back to Rome (lots of schisms and religious offshoots being created back in the days).

The picture above is of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Doms of Avigon, which is right next to the Papal Palace (you can see one of its towers on the right).

Awesome picture! I am a writer, and most of my scenes take place in old cathedrals. I’ll have to research this one and find some way to incorporate it into one of my upcoming writing projects! 🙂
