Night starry of snow
Blanketed over the world
A child snores softly
Very seasonal, Cyril. I would expect nothing less from you at this time of the year. I wonder if the baby did snore, even if only softly?
I think it did, probably the eggnog’s doing 😉

Here in the UK, we call eggnog, when mixed with Lemonade, a snowball. I can remember my gran giving me one of these drinks when I was only six or seven. Then, for many years to come, it was always the way we started Christmas in our house.
Your haiku beings back lots of happy memories, Cyril. Thank you.
Lovely Reminds me of images from Silent Night and the Night Before Christmas.
Thanks vivachange! 🙂 I was going for the snowy Christmas nights of my youth, when we came out of mass well past midnight and the city was so peaceful and quiet.
Beautiful and soft haiku, peace for this child!
Thanks Elisabeth! 🙂
